The book took a while longer than I had expected for it to arrive. However it was in very good condition and I feel that it was definitely value for money. I have not gone through it extensively but cases seem to be well laid out and seems may be a great complement to my core text and other study materials.

If you're looking for a book that has all the necessary textbook and casebook stuff combined in one volume, then this isn't it, but to be honest those kind of books are normally a substandard textbook and substandard casebook mashed into one substandard combo. This book has all the most relevant extracts from the leading cases and journal articles (to save you ploughing through long irrelevant judgments just to get to the good bit), but you'll want to buy a decent textbook alongside. It's written by the same people as Cheshire & Burn and cross references it extensively, but any good land textbook will do the job.

While a worthwhile purchase if you are looking simply for text and materials, the book does not compare well to other rival titles because often detailed extracts are unsupported by the author's commentary. In a subject as complex and seemingly fluidic as English land law this is very necessary and while exposition is provided in many places, it is markedly lacking in others. An alternative, which both manages to offer a wider selection of cases and references to countless, though all relevant, journal articles is Nigel P. Gravell's Land Law: Text And Materials.

it makes the subject clearer and quite easy to comprehend.
The dislike is about the book itself. It's a bit too fragile hence the seams tend to open thus causing same to be falling apart.

Would recommend to anyone who is just starting the course in Land law.
