TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 7 October 2016
This is a good look at quantum physics and esp. Koestler personally knew the movers and shakers of physics and he is a good writer. I give it for stars because the chapters on esp are far too optimistic. Koestler believed we are on the cusp of a world transformed by people with psi powers. If this is true today then they are very well hidden indeed!

The final chapter on the Huxley/Bergson model of the brain being an antenna of consciousness is typical brilliant Arthur Koestler.

I bought this book based on the fact it appeared in Red Dwarf. I am sorry to say it is just pseudoscience nonsense. Doug, you should be ashamed for including this in your usually "smart" tv show.

well I am quite a fan of the late Arthur Koestler and got this as a replacement to my older tattier copy, so am currently re-reading it. He is original, extremely gifted intellectually, thought-provoking. If you have not read any of his books and have an enquiring and open mind, I think his works (now out of print) are very much still worth reading.

If you have found Umberto Eco's books and philosophical insight's thought provoking, Arthur Koestler's "Roots of Coincidence" are the smart person's hitchhikers guide into Parapsychology.

Enjoy the book gracefully.
