A thought provoking and practical guide to anyone working in Social care, Health, Education and Child Protection. It offers a solution focused approach but with the worker and client at the heart of practice. Contains useful case studies and tools that are easy to follow, making connections between theory and practice. It considers what are we worried about, exploring this as at all angles to find solutions that will help to keep children safe.

A must for all social workers, social care workers, health professionals and educationists......Signs of Safety offers a 'common sense' approach to Child Protection and Prevention.

If you work in the field of Child Protection/Family Services and feel discouraged and/or burned out, this is a must read. I read it on vacation last week, I could not put it down! It is well written and provides lots of case examples. The material is especially appealing and accessible if one is familiar with Solution Focused Brief Therapy principles. Bravo and well done to the authors!

Excellent book to learn the model and undertand the rationale behind it.
Applied to my practice with good results. Highly recommend it if you are interested in working in a non-oppressive way with vulnerable individuals.

A bit wordy and based on Australian practice but good for those chairing conferences under SOS.
