I suppose that's the price of how much has happened in a short time. Much of the photography is good, and some of the 3D section is very impressive, but Giles Sparrow's book on the subject is more recent, more coherent, contains better (and much larger) photos, and is cheaper to boot. Buy that instead, if you have the space for it.
I bought this book for my husband's recent birthday and he was totally blown away by it. First of all the 3D images are brilliant and the book itself is so informative. For some days now he hasn't been able to put the book down! Can't get any better than that.
