Skye O'Malley is a pawn in the bitter war between England's Queen Elizabeth, and Mary, Queen of Scots. Once again, unprotected and alone, she must fight for her children. At the command of Queen Elizabeth, Skye marries the cruel Duc de Beaumont de Jaspre. Although her new life is horrid at first, Skye transforms it with her hot-blooded desires--only to be shaken with the news that her beloved former husband may be alive in Algiers. Her daring flight into eroticism and danger leads her ultimately to her heart's true destiny--as bold and sensual as Skye herself. She is a woman born to be loved by men, yet too proud and incomparable to answer to anything but the call of her own passionate soul.

I read and re-read this book several times-- A wonderful adventure with plenty of romance! I would recommend this book-- and the other books by B Small- to anyone who really wants to curl up with a good book!

I love all of her books. The Skye series has been a family member for me. I have been reading Ms. Smalls since 1973. I can't get enough of her books, soon enough. This is a person who understands the different types of simmering passion in the various female personality types. I can't wait until you start the continual adventures of Skye's niece. Name escapes me at the moment. But she was the focal point of your last novel with Skye. Need to make one of these great novels a mini-drama on PBS soon soon soon..

I have read quite a few romance novels in my time. They are a fun and easy tool for an escapist like me. However, is it so very necessary to have such graphic sex scenes? This storyline is decent if a little dry, but Ms.Small writes these scenes that make you feel like a voyeur. If you like gratitous and kinky sex, by all means read it.

I have read all of Beatrice Small's book. But the Sky O'Malley's was the best. It kept your attention from the first page. Each page you turned it got better and better. Keep the books coming! Are there anymore to the Sky O'Malley clan? I just finished reading Wild Jasmine GREAT!
