I think it is a excellent book. I have dicovered the moral, you shouldn't judge things by what happens because if you do you might end up being wrong. The lady thought it was Tess the border collie who attacked the sheep when actually it was a mean german shepherd dog.

Mandy and James are taking invitations around to the people of Welford when they spot a limping dog.So they take the dog to Animal Ark (where Mandy Lives)the vetainery centre where Mandy's mum and dad save the dog in the nick of time. The next day Mandy and James go and visit a friend who has sheep and ask if they need another working do as Tess, they had named the dog this, would be perfect for the job. Finally Tess goes to live with him.The day Tess arrives a sheep is killed but who is the culprit? Mandy and James hear that yet another sheep has been hurt the next day, rumors have been said that Tess is to blame,Mandy knows this cannot be true..Mandy and James have to find the real culprit before Tess is shot. In the end the real culprit is found and the party goes on.Tess even goes to the party.

First Page- Christmas was coming. Mandy Hope's school had broken up for the holidays. Brightly wrapped presents were stacked under the tree in the cosy kitchen at Animal Ark, and Mandy and her friend, James Hunter, were hunched over the table surrounded by invitation cards. "Lets make a list", James suggested. He chewed the end of his pen. "In alphabetical order". "What kind of list?" Mandy pushed her blonde hair behind her ears and scribbled away. She was making out an invitation to Gran and Grandad Hope, and Smoky the cat. Each card was hand-designed by James and Mandy. They'd cut out squares of bright
