I found this book really intesting and feel that it will appeal to a range of people interested in midwifery from students to practising professionals. It is easy to follow and well written, covering the importance of interpersonal skills when supporting pregnant women and their families/support networks. It discusses the different thoughts and feelings of women at this time and how these should be recognised and then managed effectively. There is a good use of case studies and the opinions in the book are well researched and supported by relevant evidence.
