a truly helpful book for both student supervises and supervisors. This is the standard work and is a useful resource to go back to over the years as one develops first as a supervisee, and perhaps unconfident trainee, to then think about as one gets more confidence etc.Counselling therapy is a journey and self reflections and personal development through supervision is the firm basis that this book encourages.
This is an excellent book for both supervisors and supervisees. It looks at the responsibilities of both in the process of supervision and explores how to make the best use of the process. The authors share their personal ways of working in a helpful way and invite the reader to enjoy life long leraning and to reflect on their own personal learning style. It is well written in an accessible style. I am currently training as a supervisor and this book makes invaluable background reading for this, but it would also be useful for any counsellor to help them make the best use of their personal supervision.
