As one new to Theological Reflection I found this book provided a straight forward explanation. I liked the way it worked through from what Theological Relection is to how it impacts on everyday life and the wider world. In a matter of some 246 pages it embraces all that a beginner to Theological Reflection needs to know and there is also a helpful toolkit at the end as well. The exercises in each chapter provide a useful starting point for putting Theological Reflection into practice.
This is a useful handbook for theological reflection, it is on the reading list at St. John's Nottingham. It is a useful summary guide so gives you more than just the pastoral cycle to reflect on and plenty of food for thought. It looks like it will be a valuable resource for placement reports, probably the only one I will buy as the library has plenty of alternatives.
This book deals with a difficult area. The author slowly ans simply explains what TR is and how it should be done. Gives many practical examples to show how to do it and gives exercises for the reader to practise with.
Great book, easy to follow, very practical way of learning. Would highly recommend for those with little or no knowledge of the various theological reflection models. The book is especially helpful because it gives details of Thompson's model and others
