Helpful anatomy guide
on 18 July 2003
A useful and informative textbook for biological science students taking a basic anatomy course as an option. It concisely explains the fundamental concepts of anatomy, relating structure and function of different systems without becoming bogged down with details. Labelled diagrams are present throughout the book and are easy to understand, although I felt it did lack photographs to compare the illustrations to. Other good points about the book are the pronunciation guides, clear chapter objectives and summaries, explanation of terms and the extra information boxes.
Overall I would say that this is a invaluable anatomy guide for those who don’t want to pay too much for an anatomy book, however it would not be suitable for anatomy or medical student.
