Two fascinating true world war stories. Horned Pigeon and A road to resistance an Autobiography. stories about a man who escaped a German prisoner of war camp, returned to England, was then parachuted back into France behind German lines to sabotage their communication lines.
After the war he was awarded the Military Cross, The Distinguished Service Order. The two top French awards for his work in the French Resistance. The Legion d'Honneua and the Croix avec Palmes.
I knew this man personally for over fifty years. although a Colonel he only ever wanted to be known as Mr Millar, a real gentleman. Both of these books need to be read in order.
