This is a new book of ours, we bought it on a recommendation from someone else. It's good in the sense that it says it's ok to have same sex parents, different coloured skin, to be different shapes and sizes, and to be adopted amongst other things. BUT it has a few silly things like "it's ok to eat macaroni and cheese in the bath" in our home it is not ok to eat whilst in the bath so this is annoying because each time we read it we have to go through why this is silly and not true. The illustrations also leave a lot to be desired. Like for "it's ok to say no to bad things" there is a picture of two fish saying no to being caught on a fishing lure, now my 3 year old wanted this explained and doesn't think we should eat any fish anymore 😂
I love it for its diversity but it annoys me. The illustrations could have been thought through a bit better and done in a less childlike style.
