A day without Laughter is a day Wasted!!
on 23 May 2011
I first picked up this book a year or so ago and was not impressed at the time, yet having read the whole book a few days ago, I changed my view completely. A simple, straight-forward book written for anyone who is embarking on working for someone else and looking to make a success of their time being an employee.
The author obviously comes across as very articulate, funny and wise, except for when he mentions Fred Goodwin, which no doubt you will read the other reviewer's remark upon (hindsite is a wonderful thing).
The first few chapters cover areas such as self-esteem, strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes etc. The author then goes on to cover topics such as continuous learning, team work and creativity.
Worth a read if you are embarking on your career, or if you have been out of work for a long time and looking to get back into work.
