She finds that Rico was present at her launch party. Facing him, she finds that the chemistry is strong between them and Rico is still hot and gorgeous! They have unexpected consequences for their sizzling attraction. How will they deal with it? Rico was not a family man; he wouldn't even know how to be a father, so how can he even consider it?
And Ella realized she is head over heels in love with Rico, will he love her back?
THE HIDDEN HEART OF RICO ROSSI is a sensual, passionate romance. The growth and progression of the love between Ella and Rico, though they, themselves are not aware at the time, is depicted in a natural flow which is emotionally satisfying. After a difficult couple of months, Lady Luck seems to finally be smiling down on Ella Chandler. After winning a substantial amount of money, Ella decides to fulfill a lifelong ambition and heads off to the beautiful city of Rome, where she intends to spend her time immersing herself in the Italian capital's cultural and gastronomical delights. Ella is determined to put all the awful things that have happened to her in the last few months behind her and to have the time of her life in Rome. She is not prepared to let anything - or anybody - get in the way of having the holiday of a lifetime, but when Ella strikes up a friendship with a charming - and drop dead gorgeous - tour guide called Rico, she finds her resolve to give relationships and matters of the heart a wide berth weakening. Good-looking, intelligent and charismatic, Rico Rossi is like no other man Ella has met before. But what Ella doesn't realize is that Rico is not all that he seems!
Rico had taken one look at the pretty English tourist and fallen instantly for her. With her understated beauty, her interest in Italian culture and her love of life, Rico finds himself warming instantly to Ella. However, Rico has been keeping a secret from her: he's not really a tour guide, but a successful businessman with millions in the bank! Rico might be the kind of man who can have any woman he wants, but having spent the last few years being targeted by avaricious bimbos who had been more interested in his bank account than in him, has grown rather cautious of the opposite sex. For the first time in ages, a woman is attracted to him and not to the trappings which he can provide. Rico is convinced that Ella is the woman he's been searching for for most of his life. But having fooled her into thinking that he's a penniless tour guide, how will Ella react when she finds out that he's been lying to her?
Ella is devastated when she discovers Rico's secret. She had been a fool to trust him and is determined not to have anything more to do with him. Even if Rico had not been a liar, how could she possibly have contemplated a future with him when she lives in England and he is based in Rome? Ella just wants to put the whole thing behind her. However she hadn't counted on Rico and his determination to prove to her that she's the only woman for him!
Will Ella give Rico a second chance? Or has their relationship been damaged beyond repair?
The Hidden Heart of Rico Rossi is a heartwarming tale of a whirlwind romance set amidst the beauty and splendour of Rome that will have readers want to pack a bag and get on the next flight to the Eternal City.
With stunning descriptions of the Italian capital, a wonderful heroine you'd love as a best friend, a gorgeous Italian hero, believable emotional drama, red-hot chemistry and tender romance, The Hidden Heart of Rico Rossi is a fabulous story that deserves to be on everyone's keeper shelf!
What a fabulous read. I was hooked from the first page when Kate showed that you would read lots of feelings and emotions from both characters not just from the female lead (Ella) which is more usual but also from Rico. Of course he's the normal tall, dark and handsome, gorgeous Italian but then we wouldn't be reading the book if he wasn't! Oh, we are so shallow. But Rico can cook and wash-up. Be still my beating heart. No nasty vendettas, revenge or dark secrets to come out, just Ella and Rico getting to know each other and overcoming their own past histories. Ella is able to tease Rico as a poor little rich boy whilst teaching him to make cupcakes - you really must read it. I loved Ella too. Striking out on her own to try something new and exciting but with a plan!
A joy to read!
I loved this book and have never read anything by Kate before but have now downloaded a further four books onto my Kindle. I've read loads of books in the past but have only ever felt the need to write one other book review - Sarah Morgan, Once a Ferrara Wife - another excellent read.
Can't wait to read more, Kate. Keep up the brilliant work.
I bought this book as a result of reading one of Kate's books which I downloaded as part of a 3 book package & enjoyed a great deal. It was a mistake! This book was so similar to the original book - both heroines had been badly treated by previous husbands/fiances, both heroines worked in the catering industry, etc., etc. It's almost as if the author just changed the names of the characters! Added to which it was like reading a travelogue which went on & on & on & on........ I just found it so boring! I'm much more interested in the interraction between the hero/heroine. I'm not sure if I will read any more books by this author if they are like this one. Sorry!
