Rick Young's books are always good and this is no exception. Click on the program, pick up the book and away you go. Rick's insight allows you to get up and running in a workable fashion without fuss.

I highly commend this book as compulsory reading when moving over to FCPX. As a bonus he has published an online an update to cover Apple's latest revisions - excellent.

It's a nice book!
A lot of details, a lot of pictures, clear explanation... of course you should (also!) buy the official Apple.
Cheers!

I bought the Lisa Brenneis / Michael Wohl visual quick start guide, ( also avail on Amazon ),..
and managed to film and produce a Gospel DVD by referring to it.
The Rick Young edition covers some other items that weren't highlighted in the 1st book.
I can highly recommend both books to any novice who is editing on a Mac OSX using
Final Cut PRO X.

Focal Easy Guide to FCP X is excellent, not only for a new Editor to the NLE, but also for someone as me , who previously worked with FCP 7.

Not answered my audio question which I thought it would given the other positive feedback - so the search continues.
