The Two Gentlemen of Verona is getting one and a half stars.
This is a classical romantic play by Shakespeare.
About the Book
I can’t even try and figure out what this play was about. Too many love triangles in here somewhere.
Why did I choose this book to read?
This is the March reading for the Bard a Month group.
I read this online on GoodReads.
What did I think of it?
This was. Horrendous. It took me an entire month, almost just to get 77% through this. I kept putting this off and finding different things to read when I hit 46%. I even went out my way to do chores around the house and such to put reading this off.
Although the strong ass woman, (Sylvia, I think), was absolutely amazing and I love her.
Did I have any qualms with it?
The entire thing was just, if you keep giving this woman love and affection, no matter how much she hates you, she will begin to love you. I am so sick of this trope, even in classical fiction. Just. Stop. This is rarely what happens.
Would I recommend it and who to?
I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
Miss it. I wish I hadn’t read this.
