A book constructed just as badly as its written
on 23 February 2012
This book is very impressive when it first arrives with its design and glossy pages but this very quickly fades when you start to notice pages rip no matter how careful you are, the covers dent and scratch within days and the spine of the book begins to fall apart if with every turn of the page.
The only thing worse than the quality of design is the content of the book which is written in such a way that it is not only vague but also confusing and of our course two hundred people on a 300 person module complained about this book. The only reason I can think of for it being our core text is that our lecturer wrote the book.
It focuses on certain sections mentioning them almost on every page but glances over or ignores others.
All in all I'd recommend an alternative textbook if you're a university student or any other book in the subject area if you're looking to learn about operations management practically.
