This book is amongst the more useful of the Windows programming texts. It serves as both a reference and a guide to Win32, covering the user interface in more depth than the underlying concepts (which I found slightly disappointing).
The book has particularly useful information on TreeView controls, which are poorly documented elsewhere. The section on Dialog boxes is also extremely valuable, saving a great deal of time debugging the more obscure messages.
I cannot understand how anyone can program Windows, especially direct to the Win32 API, without this reference.
