I'm a first year law student at university and this book was recommended to me by a tutor when I said I was struggling with European Law. Now, I wasn't just struggling, I did not understand anything at all about the subject, and found the recommended texts for the course utterly confusing. This book explains the subject quite simply, in language which doesn't make you yawn. I was told that this book would be a good stepping stone, and to read it and then move on to Steiner & Woods or Craig & DeBurca, but I bought this book about a month before my exam, studied it, and managed to pass the exam. I would recommend this book to any law students studying European Law for the first time. It's easy to read and explains everything very well, it's set out well and it covered everything I needed for my European Law module.
