This is a good read if you are interested in viruses. The early chapters are a bit technical in describing how viruses work and how the body defends (or otherwise) itself. But this can be skimmed if you are not scientific as there are some good summary paragraphs in the text.

The descriptions of each virus and how it affects and has affected human and non human life and history are top class.

For example, how smallpox has been indicated in human life since antiquity, through the affect on American Civil war to modern terror worries. How Lincoln survived the disease, Edward Jenner and Cowpox, variolation and vaccination, and anti viral treatment example, eradication of the disease and so on. I am glad to say that these chapters are not too detailed nor too scientific (I am an ex-scientist) and provide marvellous high level reading.

Recommended if you take an interest in how viruses work, how we defend ourselves and how they have affected the world.

Viral fear-mongering.

Let's start with smallpox.
Smallpox was/is a mild disease, less deadly than measles, measles death rate was way above smallpox in 1900, for example.

Sydenham had a 99% cure rate 300 years ago, but he was using real medicine, over the drug doctors whose main medicine at the time was mercury and alcohol. True healers like him, eg Homeopaths, had 100% cure rates in the 19th century.

"Both Press and Radio continue to preach that smallpox is a terribly infectious and deadly scourge. They never tell us that " - . - provided no mischief be done either by physician or nurse, it is the most safe and slight of all diseases". (Dr. Thomas Sydenham, 1688).--Lionel Dole

"I don't think there's been any major shift in the medical profession's general approach to new ideas. I don't think there ever will be that kind of wholesale change. Three hundred years ago, when the major disease was smallpox, Sir Thomas Sydenham [1624-89] developed a new treatment that reduced the death rate from about 50 percent to 1 percent or 2 percent. His reward was being challenged to a duel. The English medical association wanted to drive him out. He wrote: "A new idea is like a sapling in the middle of a road, and if it's not fenced in, it will be galloped over by the trampling hordes." That's a really great statement, and it's also my view of what happens to medical discovery." -----Abram Hoffer, MD, PhD

"Not one case receiving homeopathic care died, while the "old school" doctors lost twenty percent of their (smallpox) cases.....I gave about three hundred internal vaccinations, five to adults acting as practical nurses; to the man who installed the telephone and lights in the pest-house; to mothers who slept with their children while they had smallpox in its severest form. All of these people, exposed daily, were immune."--W. L. Bonnell MD

While it is touted as highly infectious by Drug doctors/Allopaths, it was, in fact, non infectious, being spread by bedbugs (why overcrowding was a contributory cause, whole areas of Glasgow in the 19th century, families lived in one room).

"Dr Rodermund, a physician in the state of Wisconscin, created a sensation by smearing his body with the exudate of smallpox sores in order to demonstrate to his medical colleagues that a healthy body could not be infected with the disease. He was arrested and quarantined in jail, but not before he had come into contact with many people. Not a single case of smallpox developed through this "exposure"....I have ...handled intimately thousands of cases of contagious diseases, and I do not remember a single instance where any of us was the least affected by such contact."---Henry Lindlahr MD (Philosophy of Natural Therapeutics p 39).

It's main cause was, in fact, vaccination, which was why 3 huge epidemics followed compulsory vaccination, which is not surprising as vaccine 'lymph', 75% of it in 1890, was taken from smallpox victims, what they call arm-to-arm vaccination.

"The chief of the Public Health Department was clearly not aware that until a comparatively recent period arm-to-arm vaccination was practically the only method in vogue; and at the time Mr. Ritchie’s declaration was made, to the effect that none of the lymph in use had passed through the human body, at least three-fourths of the lymph in use in the United Kingdom was the variety known as arm-to-arm vaccination virus."--William Tebb 1893

It also spread Leprosy, and introduced it into Hawaii, they didn't even have a name for Leprosy before vaccination.

"We also hear of the noble work of Father Damien among the lepers of Hawaii, but we are not told that there was not one leper in the whole of the Hawaiian Islands before the noble work of Jenner reached them. By the nineties, 10 per cent of the natives were lepers."---Lionel Dole

"He remarks that in Antioquia (Colombia) not a single case of leprosy was known thirty years ago. Since then, the disease has spread in all directions, and the number in this town is now said to be over 800. I may add that, during the interval, vaccination has been introduced in all the Republics of South America with the usual sinister results."--William Tebb (1893 Book: LEPROSY AND VACCINATIONp48)

and Syphilis.

"The whole of this mass of medical testimony (and more) was known to the Royal Commission. Indeed, on page 617 of the Sixth Report, Mr. II. II. Taylor, F.R.C.S., handed in a table, on 4th May, 1892, which gives a list of nearly a thousand cases and deaths from the invaccination of syphilis."--- LEICESTER: SANITATION versus VACCINATION BY J.T. BIGGS J.P.

"LYMPH, a colourless nutritive fluid in animal bodies" (Chambers’ Dictionary). How misleading to apply this term to a product of disease, used to produce another disease, and now admitted to be capable of transmitting some of the most horrible diseases which afflict mankind—syphilis and leprosy!"--Alfred Wallace

As to it's true cause, it was/is a Sanitary disease, the germ arose due to sanitary toxemia, and it died out due to the introduction of sewers, clean water, and improved diet & living conditions.

"Sewers introduced into Leicester, 1851. Sewer ventilation introduced,1881." LEICESTER: SANITATION versus VACCINATION BY J.T. BIGGS J.P.

"Sanitation did for Prussia what 35 years of compulsory vaccination was unable to accomplish. At the present time in Prussia small-pox is almost extinct. (Cheers.) It is not that people ‘are being vaccinated more; they are vaccinated less."----Dr Hadwen MD (The Case Against Vaccination ---an address at Gloucester on Saturday, January 25th, 1896, during the Gloucester Smallpox Epidemic)

"According to Sir Edwin Chadwick, Dr. B. W. Richardson, and all other sanitarians of repute, small-pox is a disease due to insanitary conditions, impure water, bad drainage, dirty living,. and particularly to overcrowding; and, instead of removing these conditions, the Governments of India during the past thirty years have been spending their, energies, and large sums of money, in extending vaccination."--William Tebb (1893 Book: LEPROSY AND VACCINATION)

"There is no question but that perfect sanitation has almost obliterated this disease, and sooner or later will dispose of it entirely. Of course, when that time comes, in all probability the credit will be given to vaccination."--John Tilden MD

"Smallpox...is a filth disease, that its microzymas grow in morbid soil only and that the smallpox eruptions are a sign of rapid elimination of hereditary and acquired disease traits. "--Henry Lindlahr M.D.

"Noticing the class of people among whom the disease is most fatal, I was led to the conclusion that the cause in most cases was dirt, and that vaccination was powerless to prevent it. I found that where there was most overcrowding there smallpox was most prevalent. The worst case I have ever seen occurred three weeks after re-vaccination."--- Dr Allinson

re the viral cause

the 'father of virology' was Thomas M. Rivers, who 'coincidentally' X 2, was a Rockefeller man and Naval Military, possible Naval Intelligence. He was in charge of the polio vaccine racket (which was only about covering up the true cause, DDT poisoning) as chairman of committees on research and vaccine advisory for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, he oversaw the clinical trials of Jonas Salk's vaccine.

''Thomas Rivers infiltrated all the major Universities. He would ask them if they would accept a certain amount of money to establish a virus research center. They would of course say sure, if you're paying for it. Then he would hit them with a condition. All they had to do was agree to let him choose the scientist who would be in charge. This man was a genius. To bad he used his gift for evil instead of good. And this is how the world was bought and paid for 100 per cent by the power and money of the Rockefeller's by Thomas Rivers and friends. He bought all the Centrifuge Machines and Electron Microscopes for the Colleges. Then he staffed them with his paid stooges.'' Jim O'Kelly

Another Rockefeller stooge was Kumm.

The National Foundation For Infantile Paralysis (NFIP) used the "The March Of Dimes" to fund its polio research which lead to the Salk vaccine field trials in 1954. The Director Of Polio Research was Dr. Henry Kumm. According to the brief sketch in American Journal of Digestive Diseases, May 1953, Dr. Kumm was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He came to the U.S. via Britain and became an American citizen in 1945. He had spent 23 years on the staff of the Rockefeller Foundation for Medical Research before joining the NFIP in July, 1951. In May 1953, Dr. Kumm replaced Dr. Harry M. Weaver as Director Of Polio Research at NFIP. During World War II he had served as civilian consultant to the Surgeon General of the U.S. Army in Italy, directing field studies for the use of DDT against malarial mosquitoes in the marshes near Rome and Naples.

and the racket can be blown clean out the water by the 80 year old Vit C cure for all viral disease, that these virologists have suppressed. Vit C is also the specific cure for poisons. They changed the meaning of virus from poison to germ.

"The official West Nile virus paradigm actually does make political sense. After all, you can't expect Mayor Giuliani to say, "Thousands of birds are falling from the sky because of petrochemical emissions in Jersey, illegal emissions, major airport take-off lanes over residential zones, congested automobile traffic, and gasoline with 15% MTBE, which is a poison and neurotoxic precursor. Air pollution has triggered the deaths of birds already burdened with pesticides, mercury, and lead residues. If you're a visiting tourist, chances are you'll be OK, and NYC loves your money. So, let's all pretend it's a deadly virus and endure a ritual of mind-numbing fear, dramatized by occasional unscheduled pesticide sprayings by helicopters over crowded streets and parks."--Jim West

Swine Flu 2009 "Orthodox virology omits toxicology, and is thus void. Toxicological causation is obvious and toxicology is avoided by the media like the plague. Forget the intellectual, scientific intrigue of virology. Without toxicology, virology is a mind-trap. Virology is the deadly virus. Orthodoxy could claim that a "virus" has any number of fearful characteristics, but those characteristics are meaningless if the victims are poisoned. Without poisoning, perhaps the virus is a nutrient. Perhaps there is no virus. Most likely, the "virus" is harmless human nucleic acid, rearranged as a response to poisoning, and thus always a test for said "virus" would be positive during periods of poisoning." JIm West
