This book is written by a New Yorker, so some of it's language is a little strange for us poor Brits, but... Zooks! What a book! My four year old has been obsessed about this book since we were given it three years ago. It is about a dog named Pete who eats through the alphabet from an accordion to yo-yos but will not eat his own dog food. It teaches kids about the alphabet and sounds each letter makes, as well as concepts such as edible and inedible, but above all else, it is a very entertaining book to read as well as to be read to. The illustrations are often very humorous, colourful and lots of fun too. A must have in any child's library.
