Wonderful translation, and a revealing insight into the mind of a 13th century thinker.

Does this really need a review? This is a classic that should be read by everyone at some stage in their life.

The translation here is great, it is easy to follow and the rhythm and flow of the original poetry isn't lost. The notes by the Author on each canto are extremely helpful in understanding the politics and views of Dante's era

I wasn't too impressed by the translation. It was as if it had been translated by Google without any of the care or poetry that Longfellow brought to his version. Get the Longfellow translation, give this one a miss. Great cover.

Havent read it yet, but I cant judge the seller on the content on the book, which i believe will be great anyway.
Visually (and to touch) the covers are awesome and the print is good as well

An epic poem that started the idea of different circles of hell based on the sins one has committed, it isn't a book for everyone but a poetry classic a must have for anyone who collects who is studying literary theory/ history.

To start, the cover is fantastic, not only the artwork but it's 3d! In the way that the lines stand off of the page a little, it's pretty impressive. The book or extended poetry itself is genius, and you'll have to read it yourself to know what I mean.
