Having heard so much about this book, and having seen an exciting stage adaption, I was really looking forward to reading it. Sadly, it seems to fall into the category of 'modern classic', immediately making it a novel which everyone wants to have read, but few actually enjoy reading it. It's a clever concept, and the use of Nadsat isn't what put me off, it's the repetitiveness, the lack of enthralling plot and the sheer dis-likability of Alex. I really wanted to love it, and that was probably my downfall.
Having said all of this, if you are studying the book for a course, this is a really good edition to get as it comes which loads of extra material which will give you a deeper insight into the book if you need to write an essay on it.
