Anyone studying literature or drama in particular needs to have read this book. It is the ultimate reference work for serious students, and the language is so straightforward and clear that it reads as if it were a contemporary work, and not the millennia-old masterpiece that it really is.

Very nice layout of the book. It looks bigger than it actually is. Would recommend it for literary scholars or students.
Delivery was prompt; nice packaging.

This book provided me with a valuable introduction into the Poetics which I found very useful to my studies of the Theban plays. Although the ideas that Aristotle put forth were primarily concerned with Oedipus Rex, it provided a good understanding of what perhaps the Greek audience may have liked in their plays.

You see this is where my addiction to text books gets me. It looks learned on my study bookshelf though.

Aristotle was a genius, amazing that his views on theatre are still in place today. The Greeks had it right.
