Paul 'Bommer' Grahame gives a frank and vivid account of his tour of duty as one of the Joint Tactical Air Controllers in the Green Zone of Afghanistan's most dangerous place, Helmand Province.
This is the first book I've read from a JTACs perspective and the authors style of writing and often humorous recollections make this book very compelling, insightful and a darned good read.
If you enjoy reading military accounts then you should read it; if you've never read a military account before then you'll most likely be shocked and at times distraught, due to the graphic and brutal content. Either way, you'll come away with a better understanding of what 'danger close' means, what a 'bad day at the office' really means, and just how much the author cares to protect the men around him.
