A very interesting and original book. Having read countless tomes on IT and Enterprise Architecture this was a pleasant surprise.
Written as a short novel covering the experiences of Billy, a senior manager tasked with implementing an ERP system, it was far more enjoyable than your average text. By the end I felt I'd gained a valuable insight into the issues associated with implementing ERP and was genuinely interested in Billy's success.
I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to rapidly acquire some understanding of the thought processes/business analysis required before embarking upon an ERP installation.
If you are already an ERP practitioner this isn't for you but if you're new to ERP and in need of a real-world example Jacobs & Whybark's work is an excellent first step.
