I may have to re-read it but this novel seemed very disjointed at first read
Too many characters with too many random threads

I read The Passing Bells 20 years ago and never knew of the two other books in the trilogy. The Passing Bells was my favourite book - ever - and the whole trilogy just as good. Very reminiscent of Ken Follet's New Century trilogy (although written first)- I think these books are written in a more delicate and literary style. I still love them and highly recommend them to anyone with an interest
