What a fabulous vegan book....probably the best I have seen. The recipes are so diverse and tasty looking, I can't wait to try them. I got to page 42 and didn't find one recipe that didn't appeal to me. The recipes are great in respect that nearly all the ingredients are in a vegan's cupboard/fridge already, and if you are new to veganism, they are easy to source. The vast majority are simple, without a great long list of ingredients. If you are a busy person, this book is great because not everything is made from scratch, but if you are used to doing that....you can simply adapt accordingly. New to veganism? This is definitely recommended as your first port of call.
My copy arrived yesterday and I absolutely love the look of all of the recipes and the overall design of the book. The intro pages will be super helpful if you’re buying this book as a new vegan as there’s tonnes of info about what ingredients and spices you should keep on hand, the different types of plant-based milks, and more.
I tried the pancake recipe this morning and all I can say is that it’s definitely my new go-to pancake recipe! The recipe was super easy to follow and the pancakes came out perfect!
I can’t wait to try more of the dishes, especially the lasagne and the vegan Eggs Benedict.
Hands down the best recipe book I’ve ever bought. The first 3 recipes I picked out to make first, I didn’t even need to buy ingredients for because it’s all normal, everyday products! Also, VEGAN OMELETTE!!!!
I’m so impressed with this recipe book, I have a young son so don’t have a lot of spare time. The recipes are written clearly, they are not so fancy that your child won’t eat them but they are all packed with great nutrition & flavour. Lasagne tonight and it can’t come soon enough!! 😋 This recipe book is also great if you’re transitioning as lots of the recipes are alternative meat recipes...lasagne/sausages/cottage pie etc. There are also great lunch options!
I love the design of this book - it looks fantastic. It's written in a really friendly way and the recipes are easy to follow. I've already tried a couple of the recipes and can't wait to try more! In fact I'm making the chocolate and cherry tart for New Year's Eve dinner.
After over indulging at Christmas, I craved something lighter yet still tasty & satisfying. The Hubby & I had already decided to do Veganuary, then I saw Brett on a TV programme & thought I'd have a look at his book. So glad I did! This is an excellent, easy to follow book right from the start; explaining what the ingredients are & what they do. How to be vegan & still maintain a healthy, balanced diet. The recipes use ingredients that most of us will already have in or are easily accessible & best of all, affordable. This is a cookery book where I know I will cook just about everything, from onion bhaji burgers to raw pad Thai. Its not one where you pick one or two dishes & it sits on the shelf forevermore. I found this book to be educational, informative & delicious. I can't wait to get cooking. I never knew veganism could be so easy!
Full of very tasty, interesting and easy to make recipes. Great layout so it’s easy to use when cooking. Although recipes are creative the ingredients are readily available and so easy to get hold of. I started with the Zeviostrone (amazing pasta, pesto and vegetable dish ) and then maple syrup pancakes. Both turned out really well and tasted incredible. I’m not a natural chef so was super chuffed with the results. The book also has some very straightforward recommendations for stocking up on supplies for a vegan cupboard if you’re new to veganism. Totally recommend this book.
I absolutely love this recipe book, most of the ingredients are available at your local supermarket and the recipes aren’t over complicated - and they work! Just good, hearty, healthy meals and some lovely desserts. This is a perfect recipe book for both new and more experienced vegans.
