My Granddaughter is delighted with the whole Ingo Chronicles. After reading one from the Library, she asked me to send the complete set to her in Singapore.Your service was excellent and amazon will be my first choice for any book my Granddaughter requests in the future
I would recommend and have done so ,the books for children aged nine to eleven, especially if they like reading about adventures with,or as Mermaids.

The second instalment of the Ingo Chronicles, Tide Knot is not quite as good as Ingo . Dunmore manages to recapture the magical underwater world and the characters are all just as believably rendered, it is just that I don't find the tide knot part, and its subsequent dénouement* terribly credible. What I liked about Ingo was that I could believe it all was real; it was so plausibly described and explained I have often found myself scanning the sea for signs of the Mer. I still thoroughly enjoyed Tide Knot and was pleased to find out more about Sapphy and Conor's missing father, so I would recommend it and indeed went on to buy and read the next instalment myself.
* If you've read the book, I hope you appreciate what I did there!
