TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 12 May 2016
This is a great pocket map of London. It is perfect if you want something that is comprehensive, accurate and easy to read as well as being easily portable. When folded up it is only about 100mm x 75mm (4 inches by 3 inches) so it fits easily into a pocket or handbag. The back cover also features a complete map of the London Underground system. It is a bit small of course, given the size of the folded map cover, but it is readable and is a handy reference when travelling the underground network.
The main map itself is full colour and very easy to read. When fully opened it is about 400mm x 600mm (16 inches by 24inches). On the main map the principal roads are shown in yellow with minor roads in white, parks in green, rivers in blue etc. It is absolutely packed with information (every street is named) but it is so well designed that it is easy to read and it is never confusing or unclear. It shows all the underground and surface stations and each one is clearly identified.
Underneath the main map there are three separate maps of popular areas. These are (a) the main shopping streets (Oxford Street, Regent Street etc.), (b) the West End (cinemas and theatres) and (c) Greenwich (Maritime Museum and Park). Beside each map is a list of popular addresses and phone numbers. For example beside the West End Map there is a list of the cinemas and threats names with phone numbers – very useful.
On the other side of the map sheet there is a list of every street name in London with the corresponding map reference so you can find it easily on the main map.
Overall this map is a must for anybody who is visiting London and does not know the way around too well. It is quick and easy to use and light and convenient to carry. I paid less than £2 for it on Amazon and it can only be considered a great bargain at that price.

I ordered this map for an upcoming trip to England as a tourist. While it seems helpful to see the central part of the city all laid out in one view, I think I'll use this map more as a planning tool in my hotel room, rather than looking at it while I am traveling about the city. Though this map packs in a considerable amount of information, it is also quite dense to read--almost no space is provided between street names and the various landmarks or buildings. Furthermore, while there is a tube map on the back, it is so small that I can't imagine it would be useful in actually navigating the city.

The compromise to fit things in to a page and font size goes too far. I will have to carry a magnifying glass to read the tube map. Why couldn't the bar code be smaller and somewhere in the front to allow for a legible tube map to fit?
