WE LOVE IT! EPIC!

Street child is an excellent, inspiring book about a poor Victorian boy who suffered on the grim streets of London. The author, Berlie Doherty, loosely based this book on a heart-warming true story. We have been using this book in Literacy and it helped us learn how hard it was to live as a Victorian, especially on the streets. The words Berlie used went through our brains and exploded like dynamite, motivating us to produce amazing pieces of writing. We more than highly recommend that all schools read this historical, breathtaking book!
