Seems like a fairly quickly put together game . Not a huge amount of unlockables however I've never played bike games for that . What really matters is the gameplay and it not being super arcadey .
From the get go it's pretty clear that there is a huge amount of ai aid on your riding . In the first career class I believe the bikes are 125 or 250cc and with around 90% of the driving assist left on you can push the bike very hard . However once you step up a class you really do have to respect the bikes . Flicking weight from side to side or what I would class as classic console flick steering will see you eating the gravel in the run off . I turned everything off earlier and found it to be almost impossible to drive which is exactly what I love about a good driving game . An actual challenge to complete without the ai help . Bits you can change range from
Spilt breaking (front and rear which can be unpaired to make it harder to control)
Tuckin whilst cornering and straight lining
I would consider myself a decent racing game player and ATM I'm getting about 3 seconds ahead over a 2 minute lap with 90% of the assists left on racing against easy opponents . So plenty of scope to improve and increase the games difficulty .
There are some classic scenarios to complete which I havnt looked at yet and various types of career or championship .
I would honestly say if your a biking enthusiast it's a very good attempt at a simulator for biking and certainly has enough scope to not get bored quickly .
All in all great game for the money (£30 from prime)
An inexperienced player will find the controls challenging, but there are many riding assists that will help improve all player abilities.
Really glad I pocked it up. It looks fantastic - a really great representation of the sport. In replay mode it's almost exactly like watching the BT Sport coverage.
Where the game really shines is in the handling and physics - MotoGP goes for a more simulation approach, and you can tweak the setting plenty so you have the right balance between challenge and ease of play.
There's also loads of content in here - and the career mode is amazing, letting you rise though the ranks to MotoGP. It's a great difficulty curve (currently in Moto 2 challenging for GP!) and I can see myself putting in loads of hours into this.
Even better is that you can't just go into the game and win straight away, you have to really earn your positions.
If you're a bit of bike fan yourself, like me I was really happy to see a mode which lets you replay last years awesome MotoGP season, and there's even the chance to ride as some of the riders and bikes form the 90's and early 2000' - so you can play as Rossi in LeMans back in 2001 for example - or Doohan!
Thoroughly recommended if you're a fan of MotoGP, and even if you;re not it's a cracking racing game in its own right.
