Customer Review

I'll get straight to the point, check the size of your Grisport Avenger boots carefully. Grisport is Italian and size their boots in EU sizes only. Grisport equate size UK12 with EU47, size UK11 with EU46. And do try them on, even if, like me, you have a pair already because this turned out to be my big mistake. For the record my original non-Amazon supplied boots are labelled inside the tongue as EU47 and were correctly sold as UK12. Amazon have historically sold EU46 as UK12, which was wrong.

The Avenger is a very comfortable lightweight solid leather boot which has suited my feet better than any other solid leather boot, and I have tried many over the years, some costing twice as much as the Grisports. From the first time I put these boots on I have been able to walk comfortably for typically 10-15 miles at a time in combination with a decent walking sock. They have worn well and polish up like new.

My problems with Amazon started when on receiving the parcel I checked the size on the Box (UK12 stuck over the EU size so not discernible) and the condition of the boots which were clearly brand new, so as the boots fully filled the box what could possibly go wrong when I stored them for 6 months until they were needed? When I advised Amazon of the error they applied the 30 day rule so refused point blank to replace with the correct size or refund. It's as if the Consumer Rights Act 2015 did not apply. I won't relive the sorry saga that consumed many hours of my life but I have learnt that close inspection of and trying on mail ordered footwear is a must.
