Customer Review

After accidentally unpairing the headphones from my phone (from holding down the on/off button too long) I went to pair again and it consistently failed to reconnect on the Bose Music app yet it still paired with my phone.……very weird. This caused somewhat of a dilemma as the app is the only way that you can change various settings for the headphones.

I tried uninstalling the app and deleting the pairing from my phone, and tried the usual IT trick of turn the phone off and on again, but alas I still had the same issue.

Feeling disheartened I was about to package these back up for a regrettable return, when I noticed that in my phone settings there was another pairing for the headphones. I deleted both pairings, restarted the app and hey presto it connected!!

The developers certainly need to work on making the app more user friendly and more reliable, especially for headphones costing £350!

The conversation mode and taking phone calls on these is really good, however, after having these a week now I’ve come to the conclusion that for the money they just aren’t worth it for the following reasons:

1. The app is a severe let down and consistently fails to find or connect to my headphones, thus rendering it useless if I want to change any options.

2. The case does not make this easy for storing additional cables like phone charging cables. With the QC35 headphones you got a 2 pin adapter for airplanes, but Bose has chosen to not give you this with the 700’s.

3. I’ve had issues with out of sync YouTube playback.

4. The clamping force and cabin pressure on these is uncomfortable for longer periods. I notice it gets uncomfortable after an hour of having these on. Have compared these to the Sony WH-1000XM3 that my partner has just got, and I am blown away with the comfort of these. Feel lighter to wear even though they are practically identical weight and you can even adjust the EQ settings which you just cannot do on the Bose. Overall the Sonys are cheaper and although the materials feel slightly cheaper they are a lot more usable and customisable than the Bose.

Sorry Bose, you have just lost one loyal customer
