This is a lovely product. Incredibly well made - very similar to Apple's own standards. The metal is almost indistinguishable from the metal of my MacBook Pro, Space Grey. The connection is snug and the thing has a pretty small white LED once you have plugged it in. Please see the photo of how the connection and colour appear next to the charger cable. Yes, you can't fit two of these little things in, but you would have to be a bit dumb to think you could!
Every USB device I have connected works perfectly. As I use my MBP for design, a graphics tablet, printer, scanner, and other peripherals have no lag and it is as if you are plugging your device straight into your laptop. I have a hard drive that I use for my Time Machine backups and the speed is just as quick thanks to the incredible design and engineering that has gone into this.
As this thing is small you are likely to misplace it, so I would recommend getting a couple - at the current price, it's easy to justify.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?
When the MacBook 12-inch came out, we loved the concept of a super thin, highly portable working device. But we soon ran into a major problem. We couldn't connect our USB devices to our laptops as we used to, which disrupted our workflow. So we decided to tackle the problem head-on and came up with a solution that we're pretty proud of.
What makes your product special?
We designed the mini adapter to have the same elegant feel and quality as the Apple MacBook 12-inch. It's even constructed from the same aluminum alloy material. Because it's light and compact, the mini adapter provides a working solution that perfectly complements the MacBook's portability.
What has been the best part of your startup experience?
The best startup experience so far has been seeing customers rave about a product that we've spent months designing, prototyping and testing. It makes it all worthwhile. We get really pumped up by being able to make a difference in someone's day through our product experiences.

You can see the difference in physical size between the first gen (left) and updated revision (right). The smaller one works perfectly.

I am using a 2017 MacBook Pro. The item I received from Amazon was a first gen product, which caused 2.4GHz Wifi to drop out. After contacting Nonda, I received an updated product (which was actually smaller than the first gen item). Seems to be more common on MacBooks but all you have to do is go onto your router settings and make sure you either set up 5ghz wifi or dual band and run both. Fixed it for me and my wifi no longer shuts off on 5ghz.

USB 3 is known to cause interference with 2.4ghz band wifi and ultimately disconnect you every time you plug it in.By 4518 on 23 January 2018
