Having suffered with a slow mac for a year+ and then upgrading to OS Yosemite (which slowed it down even more due to it requiring 2GB of RAM to run), I took the advice of an apple genius and upgraded to 2x4GB RAM.
Delivery next day (Prime). Packaging was simple.
Changing the RAM only required a 00 cross head philips and 10 minutes.
Booted up and now I have a super computer...

Tip: for the MacBook Pro - when replacing the base screws at the front, you need to go in at a very slight oblique (in line with the normal curve of the base plate metal). I tried going perpendicular and the screws kept jamming.

Having owned a MacBook Pro 2011 laptop for many years now, I felt my computer had slowed down a fair bit. My current laptop came stock with 4GB of ram and it came to the point were i needed to upgrade my ram to allow my computer to manage multiple apps being open at the same time. The 8GB ram came in a simple and secure packing and was very easy to open. There were no instructions included on how to install the RAM as naturally everyone has different laptops and hence different methods of installing ram. I however found a very easy step by step video that helped me installed the RAM without the need of wasting money on paying someone to do it for me (link is provided below). It is as simple as a plug in and play device with no complex unscrewing. Once installed, I noticed the change immediately with my computer being able to cope with multiple apps being open at the same time without long loading times. I recommend this product if your looking for a quick and cheap fix to improve your laptop.

If you are looking for a dramatic change I would recommend upgrading your current hard drive to a SSD.

Good price, works perfectly in my macbook pro. Make sure you have the right kit (small screwdrivers, check apple website) and follow apples instructions to avoid damaging the internal components of your mac!

Fast delivery - easy to install and about £300 less than buying from Apple. I would suggest making sure you have a GOOD set of precision screwdrivers as the screws in the Macbook are quite tight and small and you don't want to wreck the tops and find you can't get the back off! You can get a set for about a fiver on here - wish I had done as it would have saved me a walk to the shops later :-)

This ram is excellent in my opinion, i had bought another type online and had lots of memory problems but when i bought this crucial ram my macbook pro ran perfect. So i bought it again for my 2011 mac mini and it is running better than expected as well. So i would not think twice about buying this brand again or recommending it to someone.

In Lion you clearly perceive the difference between 4Gb and 8Gb. A must, it is incredible that Lion requires so much memory to run smoothly in a brand new 2.2GHz i7 MBP. The installation procedure was easy and I have been working flawlessly with the upgrade.

I first checked out the Apple Store but they wanted £320. I then came here and found the same memory for less than £80. This memory works perfectly in my MacBook Pro labtop. Recommended.
