After receiving her doctorate from Harvard University in 1970, Elaine Pagels taught at Barnard College, Columbia University, where she chaired the department of religion. She is now the Harrington Spear Paine Professor of Religion at Princeton University. Professor Pagels is the author of several books on religious subjects and was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship in 1981. She lives and teaches in Princeton, New Jersey.

    Bien escrito y con muchos detalles chocantes que no conocía, no tan solo sobre la Nakba sinó también sobre el "proceso de paz". Se ve que una situación ya muy mala en 2006 cuando se escribió este libro ha empeorado mucho aún hasta hoy (2025). Dos citas para dar una idea:
    "Soy consciente de que se necesitarà much más que este libro para invertir una realidad que demoniza a un pueblo que ha sido colonizado, ocupado y expulsado, y glorifica en cambio a las mismas personas que lo colonizarion, ocuparon y expulsaron." (p. 243)
    "La matanza de palestinos por parte de Israel no ha terminado nunca." (p. 339)
    Mi copia ya es la octava impresión de la edición de "Booket", hecho que confirma la actualidad y necesidad de ese libro.
