Linda Mellor (b.1965) is a freelance writer and professional photographer, and regularly writes magazine features, articles, and is a columnist for two publications. Linda loves the countryside, wildlife, seashore, hats, the wind in her hair, and big-engined cars.
Author of non-fiction 'For the Love of Country Sports' published 12th August 2019.
Author of three novels, from the '50 Onwards & Upwards' series, published 2018/2019.
Born and bred in Fife, Scotland, she left for London in her early 20s and carved a career in Search & Selection. Leaving years of city life behind, Linda returned to the countryside and embraced her passion for photography and writing, and established herself as a writer and photographer. She always wanted to write fiction and was oddly patient enough (Capricorns are not known for the patience!) to wait for the right time - in 2018 and early 2019, she wrote three novels and is currently starting her fourth book in the series. Her passion for the Scottish outdoors and her zest for life are woven through her novels.
In 2019, Linda published 'For the Love of Country Sports' The book shares 40 stories of men and women talking passionately about their involvement in country sports: from childhood memories, wildlife encounters to life-changing personal achievements. 'It’s not about looking good in your colour co-ordinated gear, or catching the light for your best pose with a shotgun over your shoulder. It’s about the love of country sports… 'said Linda.
