I have been writing since my very early years; possibly as young as five! I have been a re-enactor and scholar of the Viking Age for around four decades now, and began writing non-fiction about it in the mid- '90s (my first book ought to have been my PhD thesis, but never mind); when I failed to find any viking-based fiction that I could actually stand to read, I did the only logical thing and started writing my own! The Wirhalh Trilogy is the immediate result: I lived on Merseyside at the time, and found it to be a hotbed of intrigue and shifting cultural mixes all through the period.
In 2004 I moved to Orkney - and started again! Conflicting theories of Norse colonisation fed the thinking behind two more novels, and events related in OrkneyingaSaga inspired another pair; then there is the messy business of Orkney's enforced conversion to Christianity. All grist to the mill!
I am in the process of migrating most of these titles onto Amazon, but since I am also writing more stuff (under my actual name of Roz White) and working full-time, it's taking a while. Please bear with me; I'm going as fast as I can!
Thank you for reading, and for your interest in my work xx
