After extensive global travels, Rebecca left the UK to return to the country she fell in love with- Greece, where she councils students on Personal Statement writing for University, maintains her travel website - Life Beyond Borders - and wryly observes that the chaotic nature of her adopted country actually suits her personality very well.
She is a Rough Guide co-author and has contributed to numerous publications including Apollo Business Class Magazine for Cyprus Airways and Let's Go for RyanAir, the Daily Telegraph Travel Section and her container ship voyage from Athens to Hong Kong caught the eye of NPR National Radio in the United States, where she was interviewed twice. She is also a contributor to the Huffington Post travel section.
She is now a full time travel writer, a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers and divides her time between the UK and Greece, appreciating the benefits of both countries.
Her debut novel - Girl Gone Greek, self-published and released in June 2015 continues to sell well and Rebecca continues to promote this through various Literary Festivals, talks in schools, on cruises and in hotels. Since November 2017 it has been adapted into a screenplay and Rebecca is ever hopeful it will be turned into a movie, further showcasing the beauty of Greece and her people.
When not writing, you'll usually find her drinking coffee with her friends, or sourcing a new place to eat baklava
