Harriet Goodchild was born in Glasgow and lives in Edinburgh. She reads, a lot. She writes too. Fantasy, after a fashion. Oh, and she likes folk music, almost as much as reading. She also likes bittermints, good red wine and sea shells. Folk songs, red wine and sea shells tend to turn up in her stories but not - so far - bittermints. Fantasy has its limits; besides, some things are far too good to share.
Harriet's first novel is 'After the Ruin'. Her second novel, 'The Crooked Path', will be published in the autumn of 2016. There are also two collections of short stories set in the same world as her novels. Everything she's written is connected ('Stories link together' is her credo in writing, as well as the first line of three of the books) but there's no single point of entry. Start with whichever book takes your fancy and go on from there.
