If you're here, then that's because you clicked the link on my name - in which case, thank you for stopping by.
I'm the creator of the BBC TV show, "Death in Paradise", and while making the series is a joy, I first fell in love with the Murder Mystery Genre in book form (basically, I was obsessed with Agatha Christie novels when I was a teenager). So, as a companion piece to the TV show, I've also written a series of standalone Death in Paradise novels. They're all original, and they star the hero of series 1 and 2, Detective Inspector Richard Poole.
On this page, I'm going to try and upload bits and bobs that I think might be of interest - starting off with my author photo. It was taken on the set of series 3 of Death in Paradise - as were the other photos I've put here.
If you don't already know the TV show, I've also uploaded a trailer (copyright the BBC) from series 2 - when Richard Poole (Ben Miller) was still the lead Detective on the show.
And there should also be a video here I took of the hardback book being bound at CPI Mackays in Kent - which was a joyous experience I can tell you. I've spent my whole whole life wanting to be a published author, and that was the day I saw my book come into life (and CPI Mackays very kindly gave me the first ever copy off the press. *That* was a moment, I can tell you.)
Finally, I'd love to hear from you if you read the book and have any thoughts you'd like to pass on. Bits you liked, bits you didn't like. Drop me a line, it would be great to hear from you. I can be reached on Twitter at @robthor.
