Born and raised in the small town of Glastonbury, Somerset, Samantha followed a fashion career in London before settling into family life with her son and boisterous Jack Russell, Zuma, who was to become the inspiration for all of her books.
Samantha's fashion career span 10 years, during which she designed and supplied clothing ranges to many of the high street chain stores and designing a children's clothing range for the Spice Girls. Experience gained during this time gave her the motivation to create the Zuma the Dog brand which was inspired by the family pet.
The first book series of The Adventures of Zuma the Dog were written whilst Zuma was a puppy and originally intended only for her son. Based on Zuma's true life daily antics, these pre-school stories were designed to teach key stage one education basics and illustrated with colourful bold drawings to bring out the child's imagination.
Currently living between U.K and Portugal, Samantha runs her small business and continues to write and illustrate new books for children inspired by Zuma and his extraordinary life at the beach. It's a dogs life, but not for Zuma the Dog.
