After graduating from St Andrews University, Ali Bacon worked in Oxford’s Bodleian Library where she found a cache of famous Victorian photographs, sparking a life-long interest in early photographers. "In the Blink of an Eye" (Linen Press, 2018) follows her first novel, "A Kettle of Fish" (Thornberry 2012) and marries her passion for fiction and photography.
Ali lives near Bristol where she is active in the local writing community. Her short stories have been published in several competition anthologies including Stroud Short Stories and the Magic Oxygen Literary Prize. Last year she was the winner in the adult category of the Evesham Festival of Words short story competition.
