Jacqui has first-hand experience of the evolving nature of leadership, and the very real challenges of leading businesses undergoing constant change. Having held a number of senior leadership roles, including OD Director for a global pharmaceutical company and Strategic Marketing Director for a global IT services firm, she re-trained as a coach in 1995, specialising in the systemic development of leaders and teams. In 2004 she joined Korn/Ferry's global leadership development practice, working with clients across Europe and North America.
She believes passionately in the power to connect, and works across sectors to develop relationships as a rich source of energy and insight. In her book Touchpoint Leadership she shares examples of this work, clearly illustrating how she has developed the power of inquiry as a significant means of facilitating a capacity to learn and develop together. Further details of her work can be accessed via her website http://www.scholes-rhodes.com
In 2002 she was awarded a PhD from the Centre for Action Research for her inquiry into the capacity of individuals to radically transform their lives, and to re-connect with a sense of their 'true' self. Bill Torbert, Professor Emeritus of Carroll School of Management, Boston College, on examining her PhD described it as a 'bellwether' for action research. As an integral part of this research she explored a unique combination of narrative inquiry, dialogue and mindful attention which she subsequently developed as a framework for her professional practice.
She now combines her coaching work with teaching, coach supervision and research for her next book.
