Steven Colborne is a British philosopher and author. He was born in 1982 in Cambridge, England, grew up in Abingdon near Oxford, and moved to London in 2000 to study. He is a first class BA (Hons) graduate of the University of Westminster, and holds a PG Cert in Philosophy and Religion from the University of London. He is the author of several acclaimed books, including the spiritual memoir 'The Philosophy of a Mad Man' and the theological treatise 'Ultimate Truth: God Beyond Religion'. In 2012, he established PerfectChaos.org, an award-winning philosophy and theology blog with several thousand subscribers.
Colborne's latest book 'God's Grand Game' is the culmination of 10 years' study of the divine sovereignty versus human free will problem. The book presents a vision of a God who is sovereign over all religions and all events - a perspective which challenges the exclusivist theology of established religions such as Christianity and Islam. Tackling subjects such as suffering, morality, the nature of God, the afterlife, and the problem of evil, 'God's Grand Game' is a vital and timely contribution to 21st century philosophy.
