Pete Hartley is based in northern England where he taught drama for three decades and ran uneasy theatre - a small production company specialising in creating new drama and reworking established classics. He has written extensively for the stage. Some fifty of his plays have been performed by professionals, amateurs and student companies. Six have won prizes, and one, was broadcast by BBC Radio. Pete has also had short stories published and broadcast.
Pete's latest novel 'Untitled' is a Cold War psychological thriller. Earlier work includes a collection of Christmas ghost stories, a dystopian science fiction novel 'Ice & Lemon', and a novel about William Shakespeare's seventeenth year. His other publications include a guide for aspiring actors and directors of drama for the stage, several plays and a collection of metaphysical short stories.
