Marco Bertamini was born in Vigevano (Italy) in 1966. If you have never visited Vigevano you would probably like the main square with the Cathedral and its concave facade. He has lived in Liverpool with his family since 1999. He started writing when he was ten or so, though those notebooks have been long lost. His main inspiration at the time was Mark Twain. When the teacher read one of his novels in class there was much laughing. Strangely this did not put him off. For his novel "Magic" he would like to thank the people behind NaNoWriMo, an initiative that challenges people to write 50k words in one month. Although writing is an endeavour that brings its own rewards, and he is not after fame and fortune, he would not mind if a few people enjoyed reading some of his stories.
