M J Johnson (Martin Johnson) comes from Aberdare, South Wales. In the mid-seventies he trained to become an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and has worked fairly extensively in all areas of the theatrical profession. In recent times he has turned his hand to writing. 'Niedermayer & Hart'(2012), with its horror/thriller theme, was Martin's first novel. However, the main aim was to create a ripping yarn, the kind of well-plotted story he himself would like to read, with a cast of rich and memorable characters. 'Roadrage'(2013), his second novel, is a psychological thriller. Both books have acquired excellent reviews over a variety of internet sites. You can read a selection of these on his website http://www.mj-johnson.com/my-books.html
Martin lives contentedly with his wife Judith in Kent, in the south-east of England. He enjoys visits to the theatre, watching movies, reading, walking, has eclectic tastes in music and loves to paint whenever he has time. They have one son, Tom Johnson, a trained artist, who designed the covers for both books.
