Until September 2013 Graham worked as a part time consultant for Blackburn with Darwen Education Service, specialising in the use of online learning tools. He is also a freelance photographer and writer.
Before working for BwD local authority he taught for 34 years, most of of this time as a primary school deputy head, but also with experience working in higher education, NOF Training, youth service and a secondary school.
He has been taking photographs since his early teens, with his photographs having been accepted at exhibitions worldwide and he has also exhibited in a number of group and solo exhibitions in Lancashire.
His personal website was one of the early places on the web to find resources for primary education, and he had a regular column reviewing educational websites in "Archive", a specialist magazine for users of Acorn computers. He made contributions to various educational publications including magazines from specialist ICT organisations MAPE and NAACE.
During the 1980s and 90s his articles and photographs appeared fairly regularly in "Camping & Caravanning" magazine.
Over 50 walks are currently available in Kindle format, with more being added regularly.
